There are 7 towns in the Scantic River Watershed covering 90,000 acres of land in Connecticut and Massachusetts. Decisions are made in each
town that affects the health of the watershed. Please use the links below to find out more about each of the Scantic river towns history, activities and maps.
Additionally, click on the Towns websites to learn a lot about your town’s plan of conservation and development to protect and enjoy the watershed.
Check your town’s calendar for hearings before your local land-use commissions (inland wetlands, planning, zoning, etc.), and consider attending to make your voice
heard. Also, make sure to contact the SRWA to discuss ideas and whether SRWA can attend local land-use hearings alongside you.
